TrichoTest

Fagron TrichoTest is a DNA test which analyses over 13 genes and 48 genetic variations related to hair loss. It helps to recommend topical medical treatments and supplements based on your genetic profile. It is intended for use in 3 major hair loss conditions: androgenetic alopecia, telogen effluvium and alopecia areata. It is important to know that it does not diagnose the cause of hair loss.

Hair loss is a progressive condition affecting both men and women in dramatic numbers and resulting from a variety of causes. This DNA swab test now puts an end to the typical approach of blindly self treating this condition with whatever you source from the internet that comes recommended from your friends. Just because something works for our friends does not mean it will work for us. By taking this test, you now have the ability to KNOW what is causing YOUR hair loss or thinning problem and then treat accordingly.

This simple test is carried out in the comfort of your own home and once processed you will receive a full report with recommendations of how to treat and the option to order your personal prescription. Stop wasting time, money and effort on something you have no way of fully understanding and get yourself in the know in one easy step.

The Process

  • STEP 1 – Complete an online questionnaire. We will then post out your test kit
  • STEP 2 – Carry out the test at home. This involves taking a DNA sample using the swabs provided from the inside of the cheek and then send off for testing using the pre-paid envelopes.
  • STEP 3 – A report is provided along with suggested treatment options based on your genetic results. It suggests individualised treatment options through topical or oral solutions.
  • STEP 4 – Speak with our hair loss consultants and choose a treatment. After you have chosen your treatment, we can send this out to you by post so you can make start. Monthly subscription plans on treatments are also available.
  • Eating, smoking, alcohol and caffeine should be avoided one hour prior to the DNA sample being taken (drinking water is allowed)
